Wendi HubackaWendi Hubacka
Hello! My name is Wendi Hubacka. I'm a proud Finnish gal who grew up in the small mile high town of Butte, MT. I'm the middle of three girls, that should give you a hint to some of my personality traits. I am honored to have been raised by my loving and supportive parents who had been married for 39 years before we lost my mom to breast cancer in 2000. She was always, and continues to be, my role model and inspiration to be an independent, successful, generous and loving woman. I did carpentry work with my dad while growing up. I heard talking with a customer once who was questioning whether a young girl could do the job of a man. He replied to her that I was a better carpenter than any guy he ever worked with . He instilled in me the belief that talents and abilities have no boundaries and that hard work will reward you in the end. My two sisters, who are both married to their high school sweethearts, each have two kids and live near me. I am fortunate that we are all a big part of each other's lives. My three nieces and one nephew are my little loves. They call me Nana Wendi. They give me such unconditional love and help me see the world from an untainted, naïve perspective. My sisters are my best friends. They have a neverending supply of support and I can always rely on them for anything! They have been a big part of boosting me up to be the best person I can be and they trust my instincts, even when I do come up with some pretty wacky ideas. I always have my eye on the end result and can plan four steps ahead to achieve my goals. I have grandparents who have been married for 65 years. They taught me dedication, commitment and honor. Lastly, I have another grandmother, who immigrated from Finland, who is 94! She has shown me how to be persistent through the good and bad and still maintain my identity. Good genes run in the family!

I had my college experience at the University of MT in Missoula, where I earned my BA in Social Work and a minor in Psychology. Thereafter, I moved to Billings, MT where I worked with juvenile delinquents and abused children as a social worker for two years, while continuing my master's education in Human Services. Call me weird, but I took advanced math courses and business classes in college for fun. They gave me a good balance to the touchy-feely characteristics of my college emphasis. At the time, I didn't know just how important these two complete opposite courses of action would be for my future career.

In Billings, I worked 2 ½ jobs, 7 days a week, 70 hours a week, while going to graduate school and trying to maintain a relationship with my fiance at the time. This proved to be exhausting and I still struggled financially! That's what pushed me to take action and move to Seattle, WA in July of 1991, without my fiance. After six years together, that didn't end up working out in the end. My intentions were to continue graduate school at U of WA and become an adolescent phychologist. This is where all my interests and talents come into play and fate takes over. Instead of taking a job in the human services industry and continuing my education, I started working at a health club. I had been a competitive athlete my whole life, and continue to be up to this day. I enjoyed the change of pace and it gave me the opportunity to persue body building. However, one of the members really took the time to know who I was and learn about my business sense and personality. He persuaded me to work for him managing his financial firm in March of 1992. That was the start of my current career as a Sr. Mortgage Consultant, I built up to my current position. This was the best move I could have ever made! My career is the perfect marriage of both sides of my brain and I can honestly say that I am in my dream job and love what I do!

Aside from striving to make a mortgage transaction extremely pleasurable, I am a stickler for getting the job done right. My reliability, dedication, and honesty have earned me the reputation as the loan officer you can count on. I have a solid background in the mortgage industry and have consistently been honored for top achievement. Awards include: Loan Officer of the Year, Excellence in Customer Service, Top Loan Officer, President's Club Loan Production Award and Ambassador of the Year for the Bellevue Chamber.

I am an active member of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce for which I am the Chairman on their Ambassador Committee. I also sit on a committee for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. For two years I sat on one of the boards for the Pacific Northwest Ballet and was active in a group called Wolfgang, they are a 20's-30's group associated with the Seattle Symphony. This year, 2006, I cross over into a new decade& they say 40 is the new 30! So, I am no longer involved with Wolfgang, but I do continue to support the arts at every turn, whether it be the ballet, symphony, theater or museums.

The Columbia Tower Club, where I've been a member since Feb. 2004, is a source of business and pleasure. Activities there for me include being a member of their Women's Forum. We plan social activities at the club for which some are fundraisers for organizations such as Olive Crest and WA Women in Need. I also sit on the board of the Tower's Wine Committee, am part of their Wine Society, participate in the gourmet cooking classes, the outdoor adventure activities and various and assorted fun social events held at the club. When the staff sees me walk into the lounge, they greet me with a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne& my favorite!

I call everything I do outside of my office Social Networking . I give my time to the groups and activites that I love and are near and dear to my heart. My networking style is all about relationship building. When I socially interact with people, I hope they are able to see my integrity as a person and my smarts as a professional. Not only am I making a friend or aquaintence, but I may end up with a business prospect down the road and vice versa. My policy is to provide exceptional personal service. I have a sincere dedication to superior treatment and results, which has made me one of Washington's top mortgage professionals, and a great friend.

Overall, I aspire to be the best person I can possibly be and live a great, happy and healthy life. I will continue to give my time and resources to charities and groups I'm passionate about. Travel throughout the world will always be a big part of my experiences and some day I hope to have a husband to share those adventures with. My friends and family will always have my heart and will help to feed my soul.
