Jennie Collins
I was born and raised in Upstate State New York near
Lake Ontario and the Canadian border with the Adirondack
Mountains all around me.
I moved to Arizona and fell in love with the new and
strange country side including cacti and the surrounding
mountain ranges. My love for hiking has enhanced my
photographic options.
I ran into a new life-long friend a few years ago, which
turned into my photography mentor. I learned everything
about photography including aperture, shutter speed,
film speed, lighting, and picture editing.
A friend keeps asking what draws me to photography.
I can only answer that I love capturing “pretty
pictures” including monsoon storms, landscapes,
flowers, buildings and people.
My current works have been event photography and small
model photo shoots. You can catch me with my camera
during the “First Thursday Art Walk” at
Main Gate Square or hiking at Sabino Canyon.
I am looking to expand my photography into bigger events
to include weddings and small intimate settings such
as one-on-one personal images or maternity photography.
