A Heart is a Lonely Hunter

Searching for the Truth

By Vila

When does a heart become satisfied?
Is it really the heart or the mind that hungers?
I search for purity, pure ectascy, and love
Am I confused or just hungry for the things above?
The heart is a lonely hunter
That! I can really see

The more I contemplate
The more I am perplexed
I continue to learn and grow
As my heart expands, and my compassion takes hold
I feel the kindness in your eyes, and the sadness denies me
As my heart becomes a lonely hunter

When will I become satisfied?
Is it really my heart or my mind?
Ask me again, how to feel, and to love, and lust
I will try my very best
Show me again your compassion
And I will be your one passion

The heart is a lonely hunter
I accept with all its splendor
To truly live I think, is to truly feel with all life’s complexities and ills
I’ll continue my search and live it all for real
Spread my wings for contemplation and
I will show you some compassion

For the heart is truly a lonely hunter

Author's Comments:
"Often times, our heart searches for the truth, and sometimes the truth is right in front of us, but we don't recognize it. I often wonder, what do we use more of our heart or our mind? Which is the truest of emotions that derives from processing these emotions whether it is through our heart or our mind?"
