The Vila Art Foundation serves as a nurturing venue for young people to feel empowered as they explore artistic talents.

VAF also provides an avenue for professional artists to mentor and teach in their chosen medium.

My name is Vila Destanii Jarrell. I've lived in Bellevue Washington for twenty six years.

I've witnessed the changing landscape of our community and have witnessed our city grow. My love for art has a lot to do with our city, the people and the energy that has afforded me the inspiration to paint. Painting is my therapy.

After work, I come home to paint. I've always been a patron for the arts, doing whatever I can to support our art community. I believe that each of us need some form of an outlet and this is mine. I just recently moved to Tucson Arizona. The Catalina Mountains, the air, and the Tucson Sunset, serve as an inspiration for my creative outlet. Being here is like breathing again. The inspiration is just flowing.
